Can one compare "A" in Either/Or with the character of "Notes from the Underground"?
Though Notes from the underground reflects a doomed romanticism whose self denies itself any possible escape, A in Either/or seems to be a Romantic whose world weariness has not turned against itself. He still finds meaning in his wittism's without becoming self reflective.
