To find the largest volume, solve for

`x=2 times 10^4` and     ` y=2 times 10^-2`

`2 times 10^4 = 2 times 10000 = 20000`(4 zeros as represented by the power)

and `2 times 10^-2= 2 times 1/100= 0.02` ( negative powers indicated division)

`therefore xy=20 000 times 0.02=400`

`x^2 = 20 000^2 = 4 00000000`

`x/y= 20000/0.02= 1 000 000`

`1/y^3 = 1/0.02^3=125000`

Ans:

Therefore` x^2 ` would render the largest result.
