it might tornado. I've never seen a tornado before but for some reason I am deathly afraid of them. Does anybody know any soothing verses in the Bible that help with being scared? I'm really scared, and I've prayed to God that he would protect us, but does anyone know any Bible verses that will help me?

Most references to fear in the Bible refer to the fear of the Lord, meaning giving respect to God and the power of the Almighty. However, you might find Psalm 12:2 comforting.
The gospels of Matthew, Mark and John all tell the story of Jesus walking on the water out to the boat holding the disciples and calming the storm that they feared was going to cause them to sink. While the details of the story vary, the basic message is the same-that with faith in the power of God, we can ask for deliverance from conditions that frighten us and God's love will provide strength, calm, and rescue. Check out Matthew 14:22-33, Mark 6:45-52, and John 6:15-21.
