The California Gold Rush..
I want the conversation to be between family members. They are going to be talking about the Donner Party.
The Donner Party was a group of western travelers who went to California but were stranded in the Sierra Nevada Mountains during winter. They party got lost when they left the mail trail to find a short cut. They were trapped by heavy snows and had almost no food. There was originally 87 travelers, 42 died.

Can you help me  turn the information into a dialogue between family members?

Thanks!

The best way to address your assignment is to create a conversation from the family kitchen table. For example, you can begin by having one of the member of the family read from The California Star, January 16, 1847. This was a newspaper that actually had an article about the Donner expedition on that day. If you research the site below it will provide you with additional information that will be useful for your assignment.
