Calculate the percent error in a length measurement of 4.43 cm if the correct value is 4.07 cm.

To solve, apply the formula:

                 | Approximate Value - Exact Value |
% error = ---------------------------------------  `xx` 100
                                  Exact Value

So, plug-in Approximate Value= 4.43 and Exact Value=4.07.

`% error= |4.43-4.07|/4.07*100`

`%error=0.36/4.07*100`

`% error =8.85%`

Hence, the percent error is 8.85%  .

((4.43-4.07)/4.07)*100=8.85% error
