The distance D between two points can be calculated  as;

`D = sqrt((5-(-5)^2)+(4-(-4))^2) = sqrt164 = 4sqrt11`

So the distance between to points is `4sqrt11` .

The midpoint M between the two points is given by;

`M = (5+(-5))xx0.5,(4+(-4))xx0.5 = (0,0)`

So the midpoint is the origin (0,0)
