ATG ACC TAA TGG CGT

What is the nucleotide sequence of the mRNA that corresponds to this gene segment?

Follow the usual base-pairing rules and recognize that RNA uses uracil (U) in place of thymine (T).

If DNA is: ATG ACC TAA TGG CGT

The RNA is: UAC UGG AUU ACC GCA

Remember that C and G always go together. If DNA is T then RNA is A just like in DNA pairing.

Here's the tricky part: if DNA is A then RNA is U because Uracil replaces thymine in RNA.
