How many kilograms of each type of tea must be used in the blend?

A tea shop owner blends tea that sells for 240 pesos per kilo to another type of tea that sells for 200 pesos per kilo to produce 150 kilos of a mixture that sells for 220 pesos. How many kilograms of each type of tea must be used in the blend?

Let the amount of the first tea to be mixed is x and the second be y.

==> The cost for the first tea is 240x

==> The cost for the second tea is 200y.

The cost for the mixture is 240x+200y = 220*150

But we know that x+y= 150 ==> y= 150-x

==> 240x + 200(150-x) = 33,000

==> 240x + 30000 - 200x = 33,000

==> 40x = 3000

==> x = 75

==> y= 75

Then, we should mix 75 kilo of each type of tea.
