An object initally moving at 6.8m/s E is accelerating at 2.0m/s2 W reaching a final velocity of 10.2m/s2 W. Find the total distance

We can solve for the total distance using the following equation of motion:

`v_2^2=v_1^2+2ad`

Substitute what we know into the equation:

`v_1=6.8m/s` ; `v_2=10.2m/s` ; `a=2.0 m/s^2`

`10.2^2=6.8^2+2(2.0)d`

`(104.04-46.24)/4=d`

`d=14.45`

Therefore, the object has travelled 14.45m.
