Since Lucentio (Cambio) is the last of the suitor to arrive and not from Padua, I shall begin with the locals.

Both Hortensio and Gremio are from Padua.  Gremio is usually played as an old and rich man.  His advantage is wealth but he desadvantage is that he is old and Bianca is very young.

Hortensio dos not seem to have any advantages but as for disadvantages, he seems to be a fool.

Lucentio (Cambio) seems to have it all.  He is young, good looking, and rich.  As for dieadvantages, one could say that he is deceptive.  He is not honest about himself to Baptista and the rest of the town.  We can excuse this as youthful indiscreation.  He could have approached Baptista as himself but then there would be no play, so his dishonesty is necessary.

As a female in this male dominated world, who wouldn't choose Lucentio?
