According to Francis Bacon, "A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds."What does this have to do with technology and innovation?

This quote has much more to do with innovation than with technology per se. Seeing as it was written by a man who lived hundreds of years ago, it is clearly not tied to any particular technology. It does, though, have to do with innovation and some innovation can involve technology.
What Bacon is saying is that wise people will go out and work hard to make things happen. They will not just sit back and wait for good things to happen to them. Instead, they will be proactive.
When we act in a proactive manner, we are much more likely to innovate. If we go out to try to make our own opportunities, we will likely do so through innovation. We will figure out new ways to make our businesses run more efficiently. We might figure out new ways to use technology that we have. We might figure out ways to tweak our technology or to make truly novel technologies. In all of these cases, what we are doing is going out and innovating as a way to make our own opportunities. We are making our own opportunities instead of just hoping to find them without any serious effort on our part.
