`4.7 (2f-0.5)= -6(1.6f-8.3f)`

`4.7*2f-4.7xx0.5 = -6xx1.6f+6xx8.3f`

`9.4f-2.35 = -9.6f+49.8f`

`-2.35 = 49.8f-9.6f-9.4f`

`-2.35 = f(49.8-9.6-9.4)`

`-2.35 = f(30.8)`

`-2.35/30.8 = f`

`-0.0763 = f`

So the answer is f = -0.0763
