Two times two equals four.

First you have to remember that the little star in between the two two's will always be mulitplication and then all you have to do is do your math:  2 x 2 = 4

2*2 represents the product of 2 and 2.

2*2 is the same as 2 added to itself, or 2*2 = 2 + 2 = 4
