A 2.0 m wire carrying a current of 0.60 A is oriented parallel to a uniform magnetic field of 0.50 T.   (a) What is the magnitude of the force it experiences? (b) The wire is now turned to me perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field.  What is the magnitude of the force it experiences?

(a) Zero  (direction of field and current is always perpendicular)

 

(b)Magnetic field
