`1/(x+1)+(2x)/(x-1) = 1`

`((x-1)+2x(x+1))/((x-1)(x+1)) = 1`      using common denominator

`x-1+2x^2+2x = x^2-1`

`x^2+3x = 0`

`x(x+3) = 0`

`x = 0 or x = -3`

So the answer is x = -3 or x = 0
