Right now in America, we are coming into a renaissance if they rest of the citizens allow it to happen. So far we have change with having the first African American president. We have the possibility of overhauling our healthcare system, which would be a major shift for America. Overall though our government is still functioning they way it has from the beginning and we do not live in a true democracy. Politicians have an agenda, and the wants and needs of the people are not always the main focus, so in a way we are not fully in a renaissance. To have a real renaissance its going to take the leaders in the community to rise up and call out for real change, or create the change themselves.
