   King Edward IV of England's first reign was from 1461-1470 and a second reign from 1471-1483. The history of King Edward IV coincided with The War of the Roses, civil wars fought between The House of Lancaster and The House of York. His reign led to a tangled web for the legitimate right to the throne. The House of Lancaster was represented by the white rose and The House of York the red rose. Interestingly, the Tudor dynasty united both roses in its coat of arms, thus 'symbolically' ending The War of the Roses although their was an animosity that silently lingered among the royals of Britain during the 16th century. Listed below are several sources that will assist your in your research.
