Shahadah: Make known your belief in Allah (God); Muhammad is a prophet of Allah.

Salat: Pray five times each day; say prayers in Arabic at dawn, noon, afternoon, evening, and nightfall.

Zakat: Give to the needy.

Saum: Fast during the holy month of Ramadan (the ninth month of the Muslim year observed by fasting from sunrise to sunset.)

Hajj: Make a pilgrimage (journey to a holy place) to Mecca in Saudi Arabia at least once.
