In what way is Surrey's translation of the Aeneid different from others?  What's special about it?

Since Surrey's was the first blank verse in English, his Aeneid deserves special attention, in my opinion.  What is compelling or interesting about his English Aeneid?  Is it a good translation in your opinion (it's only two of the books of the Aeneid), or is it just a minor poet experimenting with a new form?  How does it compare to later, complete Aeneids, like Dryden's, or much later, Fagles's,Ruden's, or Ahl's, or others?
