    Hedda Gabbler has been translated by many different translators, so the answer is that it depends on which edition you have.  The translator will always be listed somewhere in the book... the best places to look are on the front and back covers and on the copyright page. Two of the more well known translators are Una Ellis-Fermor and James McFarlane.

    That said, if you're writing an essay on Hedda Gabbler you would still refer to Henrik Ibsen as the author.  You would normally only mention the translator if you were comparing/contrasting various translations, which it sounds like is not the case.
