Hedda Gabler Group
Question:
What is the significance of the reoccuring symbol/motif of hair in Ibsen's Hedda Gabler?
Hedda mentions cutting off or burning Thea's hair in many places, and the stage directions show her stroking her hair or other characters hair in many places throughout the novel.
I was also wondering of the significance of the phrase- 'with vine leaves in his hair'?
