Would I be in any health risk after drinking a fountain soft drink that had a large chunk of phelgm inside.
What if any diseases would I be subject to? Should I have any test done? I am waiting for my doctor to call me back.

However, generally speaking, if you've swallowed it, your stomach acids will break it down into something that the defense mechanisms of your body can break down further. If the "chunk" was someone else's and you know this person has a contagious disease, I would check with my doctor for follow up procedures and perhaps prevention measures which would thwart any full-blown break out of the disease in your system.
If you are healthy and without immune issues, swallowing the phelgm should not cause any trouble to you other than just being a little grossed out at the thought.
