Question:
In an 'average/normal/healthy' adult human female, what should/do each of the internal organs weigh on average please?
I'm interested in working out what percentage/weight of the female adult body is made up of which organ. I can only find 'average weight of a brain' and 'average percentage of water in the body'. I'd really love to know what every individual organ weighs and what it represents as a part of the whole body mass.
Many thanks for any help on this one.

Posted by rio on Monday September 8, 2008 at 10:15 PMThe average weight of the lungs is approximately 42 ounces, relative in proportion to the body as 1 to 43 ounces. The males are 1 to 37.
The heart in a healthy, average normal female will weigh between 8 to 10 ounces.
The spleen weighs 7 ounces.
That was all I had time to find, but I am 100% sure that the rest can be found in Gray's Anatomy, the text of which can be searched via Google books. I looked through my own copy. Just look at each organ and it will give you the weight of each given gender in proportion to the total organ weight.
