I thought it's ridiculous to be addicted after one time try to smoke, drink alcohol, or use drugs. But I haven't found any credibly information to prove it. Posted by nanami on Dec 9, 2008. |

There are so many different contributing factors to the level and degree of addiction to whatever substance that it is impossible to even fathom the idea of proving it is possible to experiment with addictive substances and not engage in it's use again. Psychological, physiological, social, how the substance reacts with your own personal body chemistry (think of how Ny-Quill makes most people pass out with one whiff while a few people out there actually have the adverse effect of being jittery and wide-awake). There will always be that one person who can shoot up black-tar heroine and not get addicted ever while the teenager who picks up the cigarette once and 30 years later is a pack-a-day smoker. It is all based on the individual. Posted by jennyrocks on Dec 9, 2008. |
