How and why does Horatio know that the Ghost needs to speak with Hamlet and not anyone esle?

    We also know from the text that Horatio is the only one of the men witnessing the ghost's presence to be "schooled".  He is an educated person, and as Hamlet's friend, he ascertains after watching the ghost that it is the ghost's son with whom he wishes to communicate.  This is proven when the three of them bring the younger Hamlet to view the ghost for himself, and the ghost does indeed speak.
