    Hamlet's father's ghost wants him to take avenge his death for him (and also to "leave his mother's judgment to the heavens). I believe a similar question was asked earlier.

    The ghost is in the shape of Hamlet`s father.His soul is restless wandering because injustice happened with him.He begs justice from his son because his brother Claudius murdered him by putting poison into his ear.He emphasises Hamlet to take his revenge and prove himself a brave son.
