Summary
Hamlet enters, giving instructions to several of the Players on the appropriate and most effective delivery of the “speech” which he has prepared for insertion into the evening’s performance. As the Players exit, Polonius enters with Rosencrantz and Guilden¬stern, who inform Hamlet that Claudius and Gertrude have agreed to attend the play. Hamlet urges the trio to go help hasten the Players, then summons Horatio.
