Are there required classes for incoming freshman? What are some examples of these?

    There aren't any classes that are specifically required. Instead, students are required to take 3 Writing Intensive classes (WIs). WIs are classes (in every field of study) which emphasize writing drafts, editing your own paper, peer reviewing, submitting, and then revising papers. You can take math WIs, Econ WIs, any field of study in general. You must complete them before you go abroad Junior Year (though you can get special permission.) Students must also take 3 physical education classes before their junior year. Other than that requirements vary based on one's major.
