Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming to Guilford
Go on Avanti as a first-year.
Get the most out of your personal opportunities.
Don’t overload yourself—balance your organizations, jobs, classes, and free time.
Spend sometime familiarizing yourself with the library.
Use the Academic Skills Center when and before you need them, and don’t be afraid or embarrassed to ask—that’s what they’re there for.
Use your RAs and hall directors; they can be very helpful and caring people.
You can get a new roommate or a new room if it’s absolutely necessary.
Conflict Resolution Center—(336) 316-2446
A good education means you’ll actually have to work—and be involved.
