Students Speak Out On Overall Experience
“I love Grove City College. I believe in what it stands for—freedom from government control and adherence to conservative lifestyles. We don’t accept government money. But, we have a lot of rules. Some of them are kind of silly at times, admittedly. But for the most part, they are very good and help to form a strong moral fiber to the campus community. Don’t come expecting to have people question your Christian faith (though they’ll slam any other faith you may have). Religious questions center more on predestination than the existence of God. Political questions center more on how small government should be rather than whether it should be large or small. Grove City provides an excellent ground for you to examine and strengthen your belief system, but on a solid conservative Christian basis. I can honestly say, I can think of nowhere else I would rather be.”
“I really love being at GCC. I have made some really good friends here, as well as some good friends with people other than GCC students—people who just live in the area. The students are generally very nice, as well as the professors. The student body doesn’t tend to be very ‘cliquey.’ There are different social circles, but for the most part, everyone is friendly to everyone else. There is a nice, Christian atmosphere at GCC. The classes are very challenging, and sometimes things get very stressful (especially when one realizes on a Friday that one has a paper due the following Monday), but the type of students here are very hardworking and driven—you have to be to make it at GCC. But all in all, it is a very good college to be at. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
