Is the Plaza Hotel only for the East Egg people, or do the West Egg people also go there?

    The Plaza Hotel is for all of the rich.  It uses colors that represent wealth--creams and gold colors.  It would depend on how the hotel was being used whether it was being used by the East or the West Eggers.  For Daisy, she just wants a place to pamper her.  She talks of going there just to have something to do on a hot day.  Most wouldn't waste money on the Plaza for just something to do--like sit in the room and drink. So she is using it to be wasteful, just like an East Egger.  A West Egger would most likely go for a reason--a place to stay over night or a place to meet someone from out of town.  One would assume that most of the people who used the Plaza Hotel would be East Eggers.  Hotels are for vacationing and are used in excess only.  Such a hotel would only be used so the person could say they went to such an elaborate hotel.
