Daisy's tone doesn't change much. She is as ditsy and vain in the beginning of the book as she is at the end. The only difference perhaps, is that she resigns herself to Tom and his world of money instead of stepping out on a limb and taking a risk with Gatsby. She is not a risk-taker...she is a follower as long as the leader exudes wealth. Posted by amy-lepore on May 19, 2008. |
