Mr. Jaggers invites Pip and his friends to dinner. Pip finds his house bare and neglected. Dinner is served by Mr. Jaggers from a dumbwaiter. Mr. Jaggers takes a liking to Bentley Drummle and refers to the “blotchy, sprawly, sulky fellow” as “the Spider.” The housekeeper appears, and Mr. Jaggers...
