Summary
Pip learns from Mr. Pocket that he is not being trained for any particular profession, but he is to be educated enough to “hold my (Pip) own with the average of young men in prosperous circumstances.” Pip decides to keep his room at Barnard’s Inn as well as his room at Mr. Pocket’s home.
