Set in England one summer during the early 1980’s, The Good Apprentice focuses on Edward Baltram’s search for redemption after accidentally killing Mark Wilsden, his best friend. Edward, who used LSD, invited Mark to his London apartment, slipped him the drug, and watched while he had a good trip. Just as Mark fell asleep, another student, Sarah Plowmain, asked Edward over to her nearby flat. Edward locked Mark in and spent the next half hour at Sarah’s making love, forgetting his friend. When Edward returned, he found the window open and Mark dead...
