Go Tell It on the Mountain Group

Can't think of a good thesis for a comparison essay(Go tell it on the mountain and THeir eyes were watching god)

"Go tell it on the mountain" by James Baldwin and "Their Eyes were watching god" by Zora Hurston.

The only major theme i can think of is "Self search for identity" but i need 3 subtopics for the two. But im so stuck..

    Why not make one of your sub themes epiphany. The song is all about coming to a realization and spreading "the word", which is similarly explored in Their Eyes...
