    I'm not sure exactly what you're asking (maybe a little "precise language" is needed). Elsewhere is anywhere but here, anywhere outside the community. As for a change in vocabulary, the choice of words to express anything outside the community is very limited. The people can't talk about the east coast or the west coast. They can't take vacations at the beach (unless there's one in their community). There are no states or countries or towns or villages. There is only here and Elsewhere.
