- D-Day
The last day to drop a class before suffering a penalty.
- Dead Week
The last week of classes before final exams.
- The “T”
The giant T in “Tech” spelled out on the Tech Towers.
- MARTA
Metropolitan Atlanta Transit Authority.
- The ‘Nique
The student newspaper, the Technique.
- RATS
Recently Acquired Tech Students, freshmen or transfer.
- OSCAR
Online Student Computer-Assisted Registration.
- SAC
The Student Athletic Complex.
- The Word
The general phrase referring to any old quiz or written material from classes that are passed about.
- The Good Word
Learned upon coming to G-Tech.
- E-Mag
Considered one of the hardest physics courses available for students to take.
- The Quiet Side
The East side of the Library.
- Pink Slips
The drop slips used for withdrawing from a class before the middle of the semester.
