"No," sobbed Laura. "It was simple marvelous. But Laurie-" She stopped, she looked at her brother. "Isn't life," she stammered, "isn't life-" But what life was she couldn't explain. No matter. He quite understood. "Isn't it, darling?" said Laurie.
