Tips to Succeed at F&M
Participate in Orientation. It's your last chance for the really, really dumb questions.
But don't go to Dave Binder's show—trust me.
Go to class. Really. Get to know your professors. Go visit them in their offices—they get lonely.
Get a really good planner and learn to manage your time.
Get a support system: join a club, a church group, or Greek organization.
Get involved! Do something you never would have thought you'd like. Be open to new people and new experiences. But don't join so much that you don't have time to do your schoolwork!
Do a preceptorship or research project and use all of F&M's resources.
Avoid the library—get your research done and get out. It's a roach motel: easy to get into, impossible to leave. They also crank the heat—you'll fall asleep over your books.
