Rand adapted two of her novels for other media, only one of which is available for comparison. (The Unconquered, an adaptation of We the Living, was produced on Broadway in 1940, but is unpublished.) In 1949, The Fountainhead, for which Rand had done the film script, was released by Warner Brothers.
