He also develops the developmentally-appropriate stages of emotional growth that are particular of a man of his chronological mental age. For instance, he is now interested in women, develops his own problem solving skills, gets the strength to evaluate right and wrong (such as the bakery boys stealing from Donner), confronts and speaks his mind, engages in a myriad of different activities that lead towards his personal improvement, and understand the process through which he is going.
