The term “feminism” refers to a political ideology that demands the same economic and political rights for women that men enjoy. Feminist concerns also include social conditions based on tradition, such as prescribed gender roles. An example would be that all females must be homemakers, concerning themselves with domestic duties. Such confining roles work to prevent women from achieving emotionally satisfying lives.
