In the novel, I vaguely recall Mildred saying somethig about how when she needed to clear her head (or maybe whe she was feeling bad? Something along those lines) she got in the car and drove as fast as she could. I don't remember exactly how it was worded or anything, but I need to know because I'm writing something for school and I wanted to bring this up. Try as I might, I haven't been able to find the quote online and the book isn't at my disposal right now. Can anyone find me this quote?

"The keys to the beetle are on the night table.  I always like to drive fast when I feel that way.  You get it up around ninety-five and you feel wonderful.  Sometimes I drive all night and come back and you don't know it.  It's fun out in the country.  You hit rabbits, sometimes you hit dogs.  Go take the beetle."

I think that his the quote you are looking for. It doesn't mention how she wants to clear her head.  It just says, "when I feel that way," referring to how Montag has just said that he has "an awful feeling I want to smash things and kill things."  This entire sequence can be found a few pages before the end of section one after Beatty has delivered his little history lesson and left.  I hope that helps!
