Based on the world created do you believe that the books they carry inside themselves will make a negative or positive difference? Give support.

There are some indications that it will make a positive difference, particularly in the fact that the older people are teaching the books to the younger people.  Granted, it might not change the entire context of the world that they live in, but someday it just might.  But that's the beauty of literature: it changes people, affects them, connects them to the human experience.  If these men continue to pass the story down, then the spirit of humanity continues, even underground.  That can only be a positive thing, even if it is only positive for the people that live in that community.
