Having read the Enotes suggestions to Editors that stated that there are some 500 unanswered questions, I was wondering if there was any way to isolate the unanswered questions on a separate page. Could a category be assigned to unanswered questions. I am not a techie, so if I sound dumb, it is because I know nothing about programming or website management. It would be easier to access these unanswered questions without having to scroll and click on every question to see if it has been answered. Just a thought! Posted by pmiranda2857 on May 13, 2008. |

There is already a way to isolate the unanswered and partially answered questions. You need to be on the Q&A home page, however. Here's the link: There's are two drop-down boxes, looking something like: showing ....... in ..... If you'll click on the down arrow in the "showing" box and then choose "unanswered," and then click GO, only the unanswered questions will appear. One quirk I've discovered is that the system consider a question with only one answer to be "unanswered." Unless the powers that be have closed that question, or if the first editor got 4 or 5 stars, I feel free to answer those. Generally, however, I try to stick to the unanswered ones. If you go to "Groups Area", look for the tab that says "Question and Answer". You will see a search bar that says "Showing" that has a drop down menu... click on that and then click "Unanswered"... ta da! As of right this moment, there are 591 unanswered questions.
