The Story:
The world was nearing its end when Clov, the only character capable of movement, began another day. Carefully surveying the unfurnished living space, looking out the windows with and without the aid of a stepladder, he uncovered two trash cans one at a time, looking inside with a brief laugh before replacing the covers. He then removed the sheet covering Hamm in his makeshift wheelchair, in fact a wooden armchair on casters. Hamm, dressed in a housecoat, socks, a felt hat, and dark glasses over his sightless eyes, awakened slowly, pulling off the bloodstained...
