Journal/paragraph: What do you think of Ender at the end of this chapter third? What are your early impressions of him?

The first is that he seems gullible in that he completely buys into everything Graff is saying to him in order to separate him from his family. Graff effectively plays on the weaknesses and insecurities of the innocent 6 year old boy.
The other thing that comes to mind is how hard it is to remember that Ender is 6 years old. When considering his cool and rational solutions to situations it is hard to remember that he is still a small child. He develops the programming that can hack into class computers and distribute messages that march around the monitor. He realizes that if he can hurt Stilson badly enough in the fight that Stilson will leave him alone. He indicates that for years he has dealt with the sociopathic tendencies of Peter. And yet, he is merely 6 years old. A remarkable and intelligent young man in the body of a child.
