There are health services and personal counseling available to the students. First off, all Emory students are required to have health insurance and if a student does not send in their personal health insurance information or does not have one, they will be enrolled in Aetna’s Emory Student Health Insurance. This insures the safety of all Emory students in needs of unsuspecting crisis. Students can go to health services for any concern they may have from minor colds to more severe problems. If a student seeks immediate medical attention, the Emory Hospital is conveniently located on campus. The counseling center also has free sessions a student can attend if personal and mental issues arise throughout the school year. In addition, the Center for Disease Control is only a few blocks away from the main campus, which is assuring if any epidemic were to suddenly occur
