Many students do choose to study abroad. Emory’s study abroad is arrange through the Center for International Programs Abroad, which is also known as CIPA. Students can travel to Argentina, Africa, Scotland, Panama, China, Mexico, Singapore, or other fascinating destinations they can choose from. The study abroad classes can last for a semester or entire year, depending on how long the student wishes to study abroad for. There are also plenty of scholarships available from those targeted towards research students or grants rewarded to those who demonstrate need. Frequently, CIPA holds receptions to explain opportunities for interested students.  Often times, students will choose programs that correspond to their respective majors or concentration of study. Students must also have completed 2 semesters worth of credit hours before going abroad.
